As architects, we all strive to support meaningful projects that do not harm the world but improve it instead. Many architects already work hard to reduce the carbon emissions associated with their designs – but we believe we can always do more. The Green Dream Foundation was created to contribute to a sustainable, social, and exciting future. Green is the dream, green is the future!
The Green Dream Foundation is an independent charity, open to all Dutch architecture firms that share the same ambition to contribute to a better world. The foundation focuses on reducing and offsetting CO2 emissions and stimulates and promotes biodiversity and awareness for sustainability in architecture practices in general. By joining forces and supporting social and educational initiatives in the creative industry, we can increase the impact of our sustainability efforts.
The Green Dream Foundation donates funds to selected projects that meet its green objectives. MVRDV is the first major Dutch architecture firm to commit to providing an annual financial contribution to the foundation. With this initiative by MVRDV as an example, the hope is that other architecture firms will be inspired to contribute as well.
